Under perfect weather conditions, 7 golfers participated in the 3rd Annual National Weather Service Upper Great Lakes Golf Outing in Wausau, WI. The golf was played at Indianhead Golf Course-Mosinee, WI with overnight lodging and hospitality accommodations at the nearby Comfort Inn-Wausau, WI. Plans are to hold another Upper Great Lakes Golf Outing at the same place and time of year in 2006.

Brian
Hahn will collect $10.00 entry fee from every golfer ($5.00 per
day).
This
golf outing is set up mainly for the golfers in the NWS offices at:
Green Bay, WI, Sullivan, WI, La Crosse, WI,
Chanhassen, MN, Duluth, MN, and Marquette, MI but anyone in NWS, active
or retired, and their guests are
welcome to participate. Wisconsin County Emergency Managers,
Wisconsin NWS CO-OP observers, and members of the Badger Weather Net
will also be invited to join us for golf.
Tee times begin around 1 pm Thursday Sept. 15 and around 830 am Friday
Sept. 16.
Format: 4 person Scramble on Thursday, individual flighted golf Friday -
followed by lunch and awards in the
clubhouse. Scramble teams will be arranged. Prizes will be
awarded for daily longest drive, closest to pin,
longest putt.
Men will play from the white tees (course length 6179 yards)
Ladies will play from the red tees (course length 5032 yards)
18 hole golf fees around $24.00 not including cart - use of carts is not
required. Pay your green fees and cart fees at the clubhouse.
Entry fee: $5.00 per day to go for miscellaneous expenses and the
purchase of prizes.
Overnight lodging and hospitality arrangements will be made at the
Comfort Inn-Wausau, WI...about 7 miles from
the golf course. Call the hotel directly at 715-355-4449 and ask
for the NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE group block of rooms.
