Side Trips and Family Activities:
Indianapolis is
known for many great golf
courses and lots of museums, parks and family activities. A side golf
trip is being planned, possibly to the famous "Brickyard
Crossing Golf Course",
located on the grounds of the famous Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway.
Several holes are actually inside the infield area of the track.
Anticipated cost could be $90 for regular rate or just $55 for twilight
rate after 4 pm EDT. Side trip date will likely be Thursday, June 25th.
Other
courses will be considered, depending on costs, availability and
desire.
Thanks to help from
the Indianapolis NWS office, a special tour of the Indianapolis
Motor Speedway has been organized for Wednesday afternoon, June 24th at
4:00 pm. Officials at the Speedway have generously agreed to lead our
group on a special tour of the facilities, including areas not normally
seen by the general public. We will need an exact count of who will be
attending this tour. Please indicate during registration if you think
you may go. You can always drop out, but we need to know maximum number
expected.
Family activities in
and around Indianapolis include museums such as
the Indianapolis Children's Museum, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum,
IMAX theatre, NCAA College Hall of Fame, Indianapolis Zoo, and many
others. There is plenty of shopping, including the famous Circle Center
Mall in downtown Indianapolis and lots of good restaurants!
Please plan on
bringing the family, playing some golf and having a good time!

**New
this year...**
Daily prize winners
will only be allowed to
win a hole's prize once during the entire week. For example, someone
who wins closest to hole on number 10 during Monday's round, cannot win
that hole's prize again the rest of the week. However, he/she may still
win closest to hole on remaining par-3s until he/she has won each hole.
This will allow more participants to win prizes throughout the week.
Questions or comments on this format can be sent to Brian Hahn.
